At home at work

When Halden Boligbyggelag, HABO, set out to renovate its premises in Halden, “At Home at Work” became the common thread throughout the entire project. The goal was to create a place where employees feel comfortable and enjoy spending time, while also welcoming customers and visitors into a warm and inviting environment.

The existing premises were opened up and given a completely new look, while everything that could be reused was incorporated into the new interior. Natural materials such as wood and wool are used throughout the space. Combined with soft colours and carefully selected details, they create a distinctly warm and homely atmosphere.

– The idea behind the “At Home at Work” concept is to create a place that people look forward to coming to, while also giving customers a warm and welcoming feeling. Quite simply, you should feel at home, explain interior consultants Marthe Evensen and Lone Bjerke Falch.

Scan Sørlie supplied furniture and interior solutions for the new workplace. Mr Box creates secluded spaces for conversations and focused work, while Tekla has found its place in the meeting rooms. Storage cabinets and other carefully considered solutions contribute to calm, functional and well-organised workspaces.

The result is a workplace where the professional meets the personal, with space for concentration, conversations and meetings. An environment designed both for those who work here every day and for those who come to visit.
